Antique Satsuma SHIMAZUTeacup and Plate Hand Painted  Signed Meiji Period c1895 (Rare)
Shimazu clan symbol, but unable to identify signature of maker (his signature is marked on both pieces, hand painted)
The plate is appx 8 x 4-1/2"  The cup has a unique shaped bottom that rests in a cup rest.  Very delicate and translucent to light.
