    Vintage Cast Iron Sundial  Sailboat J7 The Mariner's Sundial Roman Numerals-Nice condition for cast iron sundial doubling as a bird bath for over 50 years.  the rust you see on the bottom is surface only and does not compromise the item's strength in any way.  The Latin phrase you see on the border is "LUMEN ME REGIT".  A great addition to your garden that will be good for generations.  The bolt that holds the sailboat in place protrudes 1/2'' . you will have to allow for that when you put is on a flat base.  i mounted it on a piece of oak that  i gave a 1/2" hole  with a use of a drill.
