SIGNED HANDCRAFTED WOOD TZEDAKAH BOX BY AMERICAN ARTISAN ED COHEN
This finely handcrafted tzedakah box is by the wood artisan Ed Cohen. The box is signed and dated by the artist on the bottom:

. In the world of American hardwoods, maple and walnut are legendary. The artist has combined these two high quality hardwoods creating an appealing contrast and sanded the box to a smooth-as-glass finish. The Hebrew word “tzedakah” is laser engraved onto the top of the box. The box measures 5 5/8 inches high by 3 1/4 inches wide and 2 3/8 inches deep. Date crafted: 2003. This tzedakah, a box to collect change for charity, is a fine example of the artist’s work. Original gallery price was 4.00.

The tzedakah box is in excellent condition.

lives in Western Massachusetts. After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University in 1986 with a degree in graphic design and first working as a designer and art director, his love of wood has flourished. After developing an interest in find wood working, Ed began to explore his own Jewish roots, and developed a line of finely crafted wood Judaica pieces. Twenty seven years as a wood worker, his work has been published in several books and publications. In addition to his fine handcrafted Judaica, Mr.
Cohen
has put his skills and talents into numerous installations, renovations, and personal creations for clients. His graphic style, experience, eye for detail, and desire for perfection are the hallmark of his creations.
